SMS Setup

Enabling the SMS notifications for your account in Pooltrackr can significantly enhance and streamline communication with customers through real-time job updates. 



Enabling the SMS Messaging



  1. Go to 'My Account' in the icon bar 
  2. Click the 'Plan and Payment' tab
  3. Make sure the Payment details are filled




  4. If not, please add your card to the Payment details section and save the changes

  5. Scroll down to the SMS NOTIFICATIONS DETAILS section
  6. Enable SMS messaging



  7. Choose the desired SMS pack

  8. Setup auto-buy if you would like to use this feature

  9. Click the Buy another pack button





Configure SMS messages


  1. Go to ‘My account’ in the icon bar
  2. Click the ‘SMS settings’  tab



  1. Switch on the SMS types you would like to use and edit the templates if required:

  • Booking reminder: Sent to remind the customer they have a job schedule;

  • Booking changed: Sent if a booking is changed after the booking reminder has been sent;


  • Sent when the job is complete.


  1. Press save. You can apply your settings to all existing jobs, or just jobs created from that point on. WARNING: switching on messages for active jobs will add any valid contact mobile numbers to the jobs. You may want to check each job to ensure the right numbers have been added.



SMS settings within new jobs


Any new jobs will be created with the settings you have set up in the configure SMS messages section. These can be edited and will only affect that job or job series.


Editing SMS setup in existing jobs


Ensure that if you only want to edit the SMS for one job, use the 'Edit job' tab at the top of the page. 





If you want to edit the SMS for all jobs in the series, use the Edit job series tab at the top of the page.



If a contact doesn’t have a phone number you can add it from the SMS set-up section


  1. Open a job;

  2. Scroll down to the ‘SMS set up’ section;

  3. Switch on any SMS type;

  4. Click the ‘Configure recipients’ button



  1. Click the ‘Add’ button



  1. Add a correct phone number and click the ‘Add’ button



  1. Tick the checkbox and press the ‘Save’ button



  1. The phone number was added to the ‘Sending to’ section - press the ‘Submit’ button on the Job details page




Selecting a single phone number as the recipient for contacts with multiple phone numbers 


  1. If a contact has multiple phone numbers and you would like to only send the reminder to one of their phone numbers, you can click on Configure recipients within the job/job series. 
  2. Select which phone number you would like to configure as the recipient by ticking on the check box found after the phone number and uncheck the ones that you do not want to receive the notification. 
  3. Click on Save. 




REMEMBER: If you want to configure the specific phone number to receive the reminders for the whole duration of the job series, click on the Edit job series tab and configure the reminder recipient from there.
