Creating a job in the portal

So you want to create a job?

To start, in the blue icon bar on the left side of the page, click on the 'Jobs' icon. To create a job, simply click the 'New job' button in the jobs section, the relevant pool page, or on the dashboard.

Technician: Either assign the job to a technician, or leave it unassigned

Select pool: You can either scroll through the pools, or use the search function. You can add pools at any time from the pools section.

Select contact: If multiple contacts are linked with the pool, select the primary contact. Don’t worry, you can still split the bill between multiple contacts when you invoice. You can add contacts at any time from the contact section

Select job type: Select the job template associated with the job. This will load in the tasks and invoice items associated with the job. You can edit, delete or add new job templates from the job templates section (Settings / Job templates)

Notes: Add any job notes here. If you set it as a recurring job, these will be shown in every job in the series.

Label: Give your job a colour label. This will be show on the calendar view and in the app. If you set it as a recurring job, these will be applied to every job in the series.

Tasks: You can edit, delete or add tasks here. Don’t worry, the technicians can edit, delete or add these when they are doing the job.

Invoice: You can edit, delete or add invoice items here. Don’t worry, the technicians can edit, delete or add these when they are doing the job.

Scheduling: Follow the prompts to select the date, start and end time. The calendar will show availability, based on the technician you have assigned to the job. The end time is predicted based on the job template selected.

Set recurrence: Selecting this enables you to set a recurring job. The recurrence engine predicts the most likely recurrence, based on the start date – weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly or monthly. If none of these suit, click custom to create your own daily, weekly, monthly or yearly recurrence. You can then set the recurrence to never end, or set a specific end date.

Save as unsheduled: If you don't know when you can book the job in, save it as unscheduled. It will then show on the calendar day view and the at a glance view, and you can drag it on when a spot becomes available.
